IMPLEMENTASI ROM SPHERICAL GRIP TERHADAP KEKUATAN OTOT EKSTREMITAS ATAS PADA PASIEN NON HEMORAGIK STROKE DI RS BHAYANGKARA MAKASSAR

Background: Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) or stroke is a disease of the central nervous system that occurs due to an obstruction in the blood supply to brain tissue. This condition often results in brain tissue damage, neurological dysfunction, and even death. Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate and examine the impact of therapy (ROM) using the ball-grip method in strengthening upper extremity muscles in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. Method: Descriptive study of the case study approach in 1 non-hemorrhagic stroke patient. The patient was given ROM spherical grip intervention 2x a day (morning and evening) for 10-15 minutes. Data were collected by interviews and observation sheets. Data are presented in narrative and tabular form Results: Based on observations of a patient undergoing intervention over three days it was found that the condition of upper extremity muscle strength in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients before the therapy of ROM spherical grip was 1 (10%) and the results found after carrying out spherical grip ROM therapy were 4 (75%). Conclusion: ROM intervention through the ball grip method has a positive impact on strengthening muscles in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients and serves as a useful rehabilitative approach.
