IMPLEMENTASI PENERAPAN TERAPI MUSIK RELIGI TERHADAP INTENSITAS NYERI PADA PASIEN CEDERA KEPALA RINGAN DI RS BHAYANGKARA MAKASSAR

Abstract

Background: Head injury is an injury that is acquired and not inherited, not congenital, degenerative, or caused by trauma at birth that can affect the functional ability of nerve cells in the brain. Objective: To determine the implementation of religious music therapy on pain intensity in patients with mild head injury at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar. Method: A descriptive case study was conducted on patients with mild head injury who met the inclusion criteria. Patients were given the implementation of religious classical music once a day for 5 minutes using a smartphone and earphones—pain measurement using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results: On the first day of the visit before the religious classical music therapy administration, respondents experienced a scale of 6 (moderate pain) and no decrease in pain after the intervention. On the second day, the intensity of pain experienced by respondents was on a scale of 5 (moderate pain), and after the intervention decreased to a scale of 4 (moderate pain). On the third day, before the intervention, the pain experienced was on a scale of 3 (mild pain), and after the intervention, the pain scale decreased to a scale of 2 (mild pain). Conclusion: The application of religious music therapy can help reduce pain intensity in patients with mild head injuries at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar.
